Single Star Tracker CubeSat ADACS & Dual Star Tracker CubeSat ADACS

This 0.6U Attitude Determination and Control System features two Star Trackers, three reaction wheels, three electromagnets, a 3-axis magnetometer, and an ADACS computer for a stand-alone, Plug-and-Play attitude control system for small satellites.

The configuration is compatible with the CubeSat standard. The Star Trackers are oriented either 180 or 90 degrees apart, and angled upward at 24 degrees. Other mounting angles are available.

Star Tracker Space Sextant

The MAI-SS Space Sextant is a low-cost Star Tracker intended for CubeSat and SmallSat missions. The unit is completely self-contained and features ‘Lost in Space’ star identification. Just apply power and begin receiving quaternions accurate to about 5.7 arcseconds.

The system has been extensively rate tested and shown to have 96.4% availability of solutions at rates in excess of 2°/sec. The electronics have been radiation tested to 75krad while an optional baffle provides 45° Sun rejection. The MAI-SS is available in either vertical or horizontal mounting.

IR-EHS CubeSat ADACS

This 1/2U (10cm x 10cm x 5.16cm) Attitude Determination and Control System features three reaction wheels, a 3-axis magnetometer, two IR Earth Horizon Sensor (IREHS), three electromagnets and an ADACS computer for a stand-alone, Plug-and-Play attitude control system for small satellites.

The configuration is compatible with the CubeSat standard. It can be placed either at the bottom or the top of a CubeSat stack. It also has cable channels for customer cable “feed-arounds”.

SmallSat Sun Sensor

The SmallSat Sun Sensor can be used for a variety of spacecraft missions requiring sun detection. The output of the SmallSat Sun Sensor is an analog voltage range which can be fed into a microcontroller ADC.

It can also be fed to some signal conditioning circuitry to obtain an amplified voltage output of up to 3.3 or 5V. SmallSat Sun Sensors are sold in packs of 6 and are available in two sizes: SmallSat or CubeSat.
